Hi Mark. So you like dick. I'm just being an ass. I also like him. I've been reading sci fi for 50 plus years, so I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite. Well, if I was pressed, it might be Clifford Simak. Off hand, I like Asimov's '3 laws of robotics 'stuff, all Niven, especially the ringworld stuff, even the awipe Ron Hubbard with his Doc Methuselah bunch. I mostly read newsletters lately, but the last book that I read was Noumenon by Marina Lostetter, which I really liked.
Musically, back when I was a kid, long before MTV and internet, the main TV show's were Soul Train, American Bandstand and the Ed Sullivan show.
Nowadays I listen to a local rock station.
I like both rock and alternative. Both normal and weird. Weird being stuff like The Great Kat and Shonen Knife. Currently, I'm down to just a DVD player and my CD's skip like crazy, so I have an Evanescence DVD on a loop. Concert wise, if I had the money, it would be Ghost. Their current radio hit is 'jesus loves me'. An anti religious cover of a Phill Collins song.
I feel like every Canadian team is suffering really at this point. Three decades without any Canadian team winning the cup, don't know if a public commission could get to a bottom of that though, guess we will just have to continue blaming on Gary Bettman until then. But as a Leafs fan, I feel like were the most suffering out of all the teams, were sufferable that everyone hates us. 😂😂😂
I think that the Leafs made a good hire in Brad Treliving. The questions for that franchise are, what happens with Auston Matthews and his next contract? Will any of the “big four” be dealt?
